About Us

During the COVID pandemic, we found ourselves endlessly searching for modern fashion apparel that respected its wearer and maintained old-school cuts and fits! It is from this seemingly endless frustration of being unable to find coats, jackets, pants, etc, like our parents wore that we decided to take it upon ourselves to revive these pieces once and for all. We wanted garments that spoke in the language of heritage: commanding overcoats, roomy jackets, silhouettes with the poise of another age. Yet as we searched, it became clear that such pieces had quietly slipped from the everyday landscape. The grand lengths had been cut short. In the boardrooms of global fashion houses, tradition was being trimmed away, hem by hem. Guided by the churn of fast-fashion behemoths (you know who you are), once-respected labels had abandoned the long-line coats that had weathered decades of changing taste. In their place: abbreviated cuts, designed for fleeting trends and faster margins. What was lost was not merely fabric, but the dignity of a form that had stood the test of time.

We draw immense inspiration from the fashion of our parents and grandparents. While flipping through the dusty photo albums of our grandparents, we came across coats, jackets, and trousers that embody the very pieces we envision when we think of timeless fashion. Yet, when searching for similar items online, we are met instead with countless variations of the same over-hyped and expensive short coats, tight athletic jackets, so-called high-waisted jeans, and cheap chinos that lack any real shape or character. As we reflected on the stories held within those old photographs, we began to understand the respect and confidence carried by certain garments. A perfect example is the Nordic sweaters our Danish grandparents once invested in—handmade from exceptionally high-quality wool, still worn today. They don’t require frequent washing, only airing out. Pieces like these preserve stories and memories, lasting a lifetime. The history behind such garments fascinates us, and we feel it is time to change our consumer habits—choosing instead to invest in clothing that, with the right quality, can become heirlooms. There is a romanticism in telling the story of the coat that carried us through a harsh winter, the jacket that supported us through a pivotal moment, or the sweater that first drew the attention of a loved one. This storytelling remains central to our vision of fashion.

Scandinavian Heritage

Inspired in large part by our grandparents' own collections, stories, and memories. We strive to revive clothing that they would recognise and would do them proud!

Our Ethos

We do not make garments for the season. We make them for the decades.

Because true style is not measured in trends, but in the quiet, enduring power of a piece that feels as right now as it will twenty years from today. For both men and women, our work is an ode to form, function, and the quiet power of a coat that does more than keep you warm—it tells a story.

Our vision is not to chase trends, but to restore what we believe should never have been abandoned.

Forsteri Challenge

The noble, selfless, and all-enduring Emperor Penguin (Forsteri) has a rich lineage with over thousands of years of heritage. When they grow up and come of age, they join their peers by the edge of the ice sheet with hopes of taking their first leap or premium salto. This noble feat was first studied in 1853 amidst several Antarctic expeditions.

This first jump into the unknown can be scary, but it is nonetheless a necessary part of their growth. Like the Emperor Penguins, we too have taken our leap by launching this brand, which has taught us so much and challenged us in ways we couldn't even have imagined. With this, we extend the Forsteri challenge to you, to not fall into mainstream fashion traps and elevate your style by supporting ethical fashion, timeless fashion, classic fits, which are now fading or gone already
